Thomas R. Viggiano, M.D., M.Ed.Dr. Viggiano is Barbara Woodward Lips Professor, Professor of Medicine, and Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs at Mayo Medical School in Rochester, Minnesota. He has a long-standing interest in the design, integration, evaluation, and management of the medical school curriculum. Special areas of interest include designing effective learning experiences, educational research, and applying continuous quality improvement principles to curriculum evaluation. His current interest is overseeing a competency-based faculty development and education leadership succession planning program, and creating the virtuous medical community.

In addition to the keynote speaker, there will be a selection of workshops and presentations on Spirituality and Ethics in Medicine.

This one-day conference is of special interest to medical, legal, and theological professionals; healthcare students, residents, and faculty; pastoral and spiritual care providers; and social workers.
