The position, will provide funding for a 50% time senior
scientist, Charles W. Given, PhD. The goal of this position is
to advance research in behavioral oncology through the
Behavioral Cooperative Oncology Group (BCOG). Objectives will be
to 1) analyze data and publish research papers in peer reviewed
journals; 2) carry out existing Recent publications where
funding is currently in force; and 3) develop grant applications
for funding by such agencies as the National Cancer Institute,
the American Cancer Society and the Department of Defense. The
senior scientist will work collaboratively with pre- and
post-doctoral candidates and junior faculty at the participating
BCOG institutions. These research objectives will be implemented
through an inter-institutional collaborative model.
