Dr. Hiroshi Igarashi Participates in Visiting Scholar Program


Dr. Hiroshi IgarashiDr. Hiroshi Igarashi joined the Department of Family Medicine with an appointment of Visiting Assistant Professor as a scholar in the Methods of Family Medicine Training Program on April 4, 2007. Dr. Igarashi will be working in the Department from April 2007 to March 2008. Dr. Igarashi received his medical degree from Tohoku University School of Medicine and recently completed a postgraduate residency program at Seirei Mikatahara General Hospital in Shizuoka. While a medical student, Dr. Igarashi spent three months working in basic research at Stanford University. Following medical school, Dr. Igarashi participated in a short-term family medicine educational program at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Igarashi is particularly interested in family medicine training in postgraduate education, faculty development and research. His goal is to participate in a family medicine residency in the United States and then to engage in family medicine training in Japan.
